We Built This to Make Sense of Financial Data
Back in 2019, a few of us sat around a table in Castle Hill trying to figure out why financial analysis had to be so complicated. Most reporting tools either dumped raw numbers with no context, or they oversimplified things until the insights became useless.
So we started building something different. Not revolutionary—just practical. A way to present financial analysis that actually helps people understand what's happening with their money and their business.
How We Got Here
The first version was honestly pretty basic. We worked with three local businesses who were kind enough to let us test our approach. They needed clearer visibility into their cash flow patterns, and we needed to figure out if our methods actually worked outside our own heads.
What surprised us was how much the conversation mattered. Not just the charts or the numbers, but the back-and-forth about what those numbers actually meant for day-to-day decisions. That's when we realized this wasn't just about better reports—it was about creating a framework for clearer financial conversations.
By early 2022, we'd refined our process enough to handle more complex situations. Mid-sized companies with multiple revenue streams, seasonal fluctuations, and the kind of financial puzzles that don't fit into standard templates. That's where things got interesting.
What Actually Matters to Us
We're not trying to win awards for innovation. We just want to do work that helps people make better financial decisions without feeling overwhelmed or confused by the process.
Clarity Over Complexity
Financial data is already complicated enough. We strip away unnecessary jargon and focus on presenting information in ways that actually make sense when you're trying to make decisions.
Context Matters
Numbers without context are just numbers. We spend time understanding your business situation so the analysis reflects reality, not just mathematical averages.
Honest Limitations
We'll tell you when something's outside our wheelhouse or when the data doesn't support a clear conclusion. Better to be upfront than to pretend we have all the answers.
The People Behind the Reports
Small team. Everyone here has spent years working with financial data in different contexts—from corporate finance departments to advisory firms. We bring different perspectives, which helps when we're trying to figure out the best way to present complex information.
Felix Pemberton
Chief Financial Analyst
Spent a decade in portfolio analysis before joining us. He's the one who keeps asking "but what does this actually tell us?" until we find the real insight buried in the spreadsheets.
Sienna Whitlock
Senior Data Strategist
Background in financial systems and reporting frameworks. She translates between what the data says and what people actually need to know. Also makes excellent coffee, which shouldn't matter but somehow does.

How We Actually Work
Understanding Context First
Before we touch any numbers, we need to understand your situation. What decisions are you trying to make? What keeps you up at night financially? This conversation shapes everything that comes after.
Data Collection and Verification
We gather the relevant financial information and spend time making sure it's actually reliable. Bad data leads to bad conclusions, and nobody benefits from that.
Analysis and Pattern Recognition
This is where we dig into the numbers, looking for patterns, anomalies, and relationships that might not be obvious at first glance. Sometimes the interesting stuff is hiding in unexpected places.
Presentation and Discussion
We put together reports that focus on actionable insights, then walk through them together. The conversation often reveals additional questions worth exploring, which is why we build flexibility into our process.
Let's Talk About Your Financial Data
If you're dealing with financial information that's either too scattered or too simplified to be useful, we might be able to help. Reach out and we can discuss whether our approach makes sense for your situation.
